This was a nice hike from 4th of July trailhead that takes you through forests for the first couple of miles. Above the forests are alpine meadows that the trail switchbacks up through. The final 1/2 mile is rocky and requires some scrambling and route finding (nothing too difficult). From the top you can see west to Winter Park and Lake Grandby and east back to the plains. The views on a clear day must be incredible. The day we climbed this peak we had some clouds around the summit and the views were limited.
